The Pixel 8 Pro added an unusual built-in temperature sensor (usable for scanning object surface temperatures) and upgraded all three rear cameras to newer sensors, including a 48MP 5x telephoto lens capable of up to 30x Super Res Zoom. It ran the Tensor G3 chip with 12GB of RAM, a 6.7-inch LTPO display reaching up to 2400 nits peak brightness, and the same 7-year software support promise as the standard Pixel 8.
